This was my tenth year I returned to this amazing place. The highlight is the amazing veranda with the ocean views. I also feel very at home with the decoration. The location is very quiet so you can fully relax. The stars are amazing at night as there is not much light pollution. Also, the sound and the smell of the ocean works very well for me.

We loved our long weekend stay. The place is cute and cosy, with a beautiful big deck and outside area. It’s a great location and a close drive to the beaches and shops. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our Christmas stay in this house and Stradbroke Island. The house is really comfortable, had everything we needed and feels lived in, not just a rental property. Lovely photos on the walls and the pottery adds an interesting touch. The beds and sofas were really comfortable. We loved the big deck with glimpses of the ocean, great spot to watch the evening storms. Would love to return.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and happy to recommend it to others - have already done so. In addition to the great weather, the accommodation is in an elevated location with plenty of indoor space and facilities all combining for to us to have a great holiday. While it is of an older style of accommodation it perfectly met our needs of comfort, a good view from a spacious covered outdoor area and a realistic price. The only downsides were minor for us: the lack of covered car parking; the shower over a bathtub which might not suit less agile tenants; and the need to drive to the beach and shops. We particularly liked the great view; the regular visits by wildlife and the quietness.

We loved our stay at the house, it was comfortable, clean, with everything we needed. We stayed for five nights with two kids and it was plenty of room, especially with the big deck. The photos really don’t do it justice, it’s a beautifully looked after space with lots of thoughtful touches so we never felt we were lacking for anything. All the beds were very comfortable and we watched the most beautiful sunsets over the ocean. It is located very close by to everything Point Lookout has to offer yet still hidden away in the trees. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway in nature.

Great stay in a very quiet street. The deck with the ocean views is wonderful. Nice interior gives it a creative homely feel.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house was clean and very peaceful and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. We plan to regularly book this place for extended stays on Straddie.

We had a lovely time at Hillhouse. It's an older house but it's clean and has all the amenities you need. We stayed with our active 15 month old, and the inside is actually very baby proof. Outside is a different story due to lack of fencing, but the flip side of that is the beautiful kangaroos in the backyard! The place has pedestal fans on offer for summer, which was enough as it was a bit cooler. There is also an oven, which can't be seen on the photos. We've let RW know about the kettle that needs to be replaced, but otherwise found this a pleasant place to stay!

The property was a delight to stay in. Cosy with a coastal feel. It had most kitchen appliances that you would need to stay for a short holiday. Definitely byo mossie and insect repellant although I think there was repellant left by owner. The view was great and only a short walk to the beach and only a few mins drive to restaurants. There was a modem however, we didn’t have access to Wi-Fi. All in all I would definitely stay there again. 4/5!

Hillhouse was a beautiful place to stay. Clean and cosy with nice rustic coastal decor touches. Amazing ocean views from the well sized back deck. We would definitely come back and will recommend to our friends and family.

Very happy with the accommodation. While old style was spacious and comfortable and well supplied with books and games should the weather be unkind. Brought back a reminder of similar holidays in Caloundra.

Really lovely house, we loved the outside balcony where you can enjoy the view sipping a glass of wine.

House was as described, good, quiet location and good views.
However, house and deck could have been cleaned a bit better. Deck furniture and general area needed a good clean.

We enjoyed our stay at Hillhouse. The location was convenient, the house neat, back deck was awesome. There was no TV reception when we stayed but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay and relax

I spent a week happily in Hillhouse. A Beautiful location and comfy accomodation.
Days sitting on the deck watching the whales pass by was special.

The house was very comfortable and the deck overlooking the ocean was the best!

Relaxing, simple, homely and convenience. So happy with our stay. We will definitely be back.

Roomy and comfortable house with great deck for enjoyment

I had a lovely time again. The veranda with ocean views is definitely the highlight of the property. The only thing which could improve is some more sauce pans.
