Lookout Unit 8

Great views and perfect for a group booking. Beds were comfortable, parking was easy and the unit was well appointed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lookout unit 8, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The location is unbeatable for whale watching from the comfort of your choice of 3 decks and soaking in the stunning panoramic views over the ocean. Not to mention you are directly above the stunning affinity pool.The property itself is well maintained, with native gardens, that attract a wonderful array of birds.
This property is perfect for small groups wanting their own space, boasting three ensuited rooms over 2 levels.
The property also has good pantry staples, internet a new nesspresso pod machine and a new Dyson stick ( I take my own but no need here ).
The unit is downstairs from the carpark, and there are many stairs, so this may not suit all.
The staff at Ray White were also exceptional. I would highly recommend Lookout unit 8 and will definately return to this exceptional stay.

With the exception of a leaky bathroom pipe on the main floor (which Ray White were in the process of attending to during our stay), this apartment was fabulous. Extremely well stocked with everything and more one would need or want for a week stay. Comfy beds, roomy, fabulous views of the ocean, close to Point Lookout town. Easy drive to Amity and Dunwich. Swimming pool looked inviting tho we did not use it. One car parking which is a little tight if you have a larger car but the visitors area and street parking is plentiful. Definitely a place to come back to.

Wonderful view; spacious; well-appointed; good beds. As we had young children, management supplied a cot and we brought a gate for the stairs. For those with very young children the type of deck fencing means that the glass doors to the deck need to be kept shut but that was not a problem at this time of year.

Amazing view and great set-up

We loved this apartment; it could not have been better. We went out of season so did not use the pool in the residence but it looked very inviting!

We had a fabulous stay at The Lookout! Look forward to returning in future.

Amazing view and location for this Straddie unit. Arguably some of the best views on the island. We were easily able to see sometimes up to 15 whales at once and a pod of 50+ dolphins. The unit itself was great. The layout is good and amenities as described. The fridge is huge! NOTE: the listing doesn't say there is wifi, but there is and it's very stable and fast if you need it. We did have quite a few cockroaches appear during our stay, which Ray White says they will have the place fumigated.

Our stay could not have been better! Everything was wonderful, thank you. We would love to stay here again in the future.

This property was perfect for our party of two couples staying for a weekend of whale watching and exploring the island. It was very thoughtfully stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable (but don’t forget your own soap and shampoo). We would thoroughly recommend the property to all our friends and family.

Beautiful place to stay. Best view. Came with wifi. Is a bit of a walk from bus stop if you don’t have a car to get around. Perfect location to access local restaurants and shops. Everything needed is close by.

A beautiful place to stay. Very well equipped and clean with all you need for a comfortable stay on Straddie. Loved the furnishing & decorating of this property. Having 3 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms was great for our family of 5 with one baby. We enjoyed very relaxing holiday, and the sea view was to die for! Having a pool onsite was a welcome bonus.

Fantastic beach views from this unit. Plenty of books, games, DVD'S for rainy days.

We had an amazing holiday in the most perfect location with the best view on North Straddie! The unit was very clean, well maintained with modern decor, well-equipped kitchen, extra linen and comfortable beds. This is our favourite place to holiday.

Great location and excellent facilities. The apt is well presented, clean and full of activities games, books etc. We loved the unit and would recommend it highly. Our only reservation is that one bedroom is better suited for children rather than a couple as you would generally walk through the bedroom to access the upper levels. It is possible to walk outside to gain access to the upper levels but it would be awkward if weather was inclement.

I stayed here with my parents and partner and it was perfect for what we wanted! Walking distance to cylinder beach and local pub!! Could easily fit 7 people comfortably in this house and it had everything you needed if you wanted to cook dinner there every night.

We had a fantastic stay at the Lookout Unit 8. The apartment has everything you could need (just need to look a little better in the cupboards to find to coffee machine!), and the most perfect view.

The pool is great and the complex was a lot quieter than expected. Would recommend a stay for sure!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay here. The kids loved the different rooms, bathrooms, desks and swimming pool. The views were stunning throughout the unit. Our kids were 8 and 10 so were fine with stairs and sleeping across different levels. There was a baby gate provided, but we didn't need to use this. One fact that may not appeal to everyone was that the master bedroom was not accessed through internal stairs. You either had to walk through another bedroom and across the deck, or down the external (shared) stairs and in under the deck. We loved having the mildly separated sleeping layout but younger families may not.

The unit is beautifully decorated and stocked with utensils,games, books and even binoculars for better whale watching.

Some minor maintenance issues included water damage to bottom of vanity in one of the bathrooms, a sliding door that kept coming off the track and a toilet paper holder needs remounting. But all minor things and wouldn't deter us from staying here again.

I have stayed here many times. It is comfortable, relaxing and overall a great place. My only problem/concern is that it is said to have wifi but there are no passwords or anything which is a problem when trying to work while on holidays. I highly recommend and would come back again. But it would make things so much easier if there was wifi and a password.

This three bedroom unit is amazing and has absolutely everything for your stay. Even those things you didn’t know you needed.
We loved all the furnishing and there is plenty of room for a large family.
Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is the only holiday place we will stay now when at Straddie. The unit is perfect in everyway. It is always clean and fresh with everything you could need and every bed is so comfortable. The extras that are provided like the books, movies and games are an added bonus. The views are out of this world and the location could not be better. The kids absolutely love the pool. We always come away feeling so relaxed and cant wait till we can come back and enjoy again. Thank you Lynda and Stewart for giving up your beautiful unit. We can not recommend this unit enough. You will not be disappointed.

I enjoyed thoroughly taking walks in nature, spending time with friends, eating fresh seafood and gelato and admiring local crafts. I managed to see whales and dolphins playing, kangaroo’s feeding and enjoyed incredible ocean views and sunrises from your balcony. In a few short days on Straddie I have managed to relax, recharge and reacquaint myself with all good things in life. Your home was both comfortable and beautiful. The perfect getaway. I would definitely like to stay here again soon and will be recommending it to my family and friends. Simply a perfect piece of paradise.

This is our third stay here and always was wonderful. We had previously stayed with our family but this time we came as newlyweds to holiday. Me and my partner had the most perfect stay at this gorgeous beachside house on the lovely straddie!! We arrived and the apartment was lovely and clean, all set up with absolutely everything we could need! The large balcony has the most insane view, it was really such a treat to wake up and sit out and watch the sea every morning. If you are thinking about it... DO IT !! Couldn’t recommend it more

Absolutely fabulous break away

The views are outstanding and the added bonus of being able to watch the whales pass by was the icing on the cake. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the whale watching trip out of Dunwich. Recommend it.

Amazing accommodation, stayed in these units before, was a little disappointed this time, as there was no communication in regards to no tv service for the whole 7 days, and most dvds provided weren't working, obviously not there to watch tv, but with young kids, its always great to have for a couple hours here and there. otherwise everything was perfect.
