Great place to stay, plenty of room. The check in was easy and Ray White were easy to communicate with. Definitely would recommend this place!

House is great has everything? Lawn very long, dogs just covered in grass seeds every time they walked outside, they drove them mental and upset their stomach constantly pulling them off, we left a night early.

Really gorgeous place, close to the beach and really felt right at home, a large number of board games too which we enjoyed

Absolutely loved this house. A few mins walk to multiple beaches, gorge walk, cafes/shops. The place was a great size & the beds were very comfortable. If you’re planning to cook a lot, bring your own basics like oil, salt, and a sharp knife. The kitchen was well stocked otherwise w/ a big fridge. It was so wonderful to have a fenced yard for our dog. The house has everything you need, but is still uncluttered, spacious, and a great price. A couple of previous reviewers appear to have complained about small issues that only arose because they chose to book this excellent value, no frills accom then expected something else - if you need specific additional amenities you can book and pay for a fancier place that offers them. I grew up a local and now visit the island many times a year often staying at different airbnbs and can say this will be my go to from now on. I will definitely be returning to Kingfisher ASAP as we adored it

All was very good with the exceptions of -
1. the main glass roller door is in need of repair (very hard to open and close)
2. the video machine was not working.

Very easy and organised. House was a great location, very easy with the dogs and comfortable.

The sleeping quarters are comfortable and the living area spacious.
Kitchen needs some work as the range hood can not be used due to all the buttons missing and the oven doesn’t work properly. This resulted in the property filling with smoke and steam, and smoke alarms did not activate which was a concern.
It would be a good summer stay home as there is no heating and it was very cold inside.

My dog and I had a lovely 5 night stay at this property.
Only problem was that previous tenants unplugged TV and being technologically challenged as a senior person asked for, and received quickly, assistance to fix the problem.
Lovely quiet neighbourhood and close to everything we needed.
I would book again.

We enjoyed our 6 days at this property very much - the location is fantastic for easy walking access to Point Lookout shops and many beaches.
Taking our dog was a bonus - great backyard :)

You forgot to send the email telling us pin numbers to get in, what to bring which was disappointing like a dish cloth, dishwashing detergent, hand wash for the bathroom and the kitchen. Also the main bedroom fan doesn't work as it is not connected, there were two vertical fans for the house one was broken and there was no extension cord for the other one. My husband doesn't sleep much so he kept the cockroaches company in the lounge room. We went there because we have a dog we all had a great time, the dog didn't want to leave. We found Straddie Eats on the way to the house and had lunch, we then went there every day for coffee it is the same every time you go there. All the staff make great coffee.

The advertisement stated that there were 2 x queen beds but 1 of the beds has 2 single mattresses pushed together and as I am over 6ft my feet hang off the end
The screen door in the rear bedroom stops short of the frame so if you open the glass sliding door to get some fresh breeze there is a gap at the end of the fly screen door which lets in the bugs
The range hood doesn’t have any switches or knobs looks like they have all been broken off at some stage so can’t use exhaust fan or lights if cooking on the stove
The remote for the ceiling fan in the bedroom was inside the tv cabinet in the lounge room with no batteries and when I put a battery in and tried it it only worked intermittently and sounds like it may have a short ( maybe this is why the remote was disconnected)

The property was comfortable with most amenity available. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment. The house was reasonably clean and tidy however the back yard was overgrown with weeds knee high. I would happily recommend this rental to friends. The agent was very helpful.

We stay in this house most years , we love the location. It suits our family you can walk to most of the beaches & places you need to shop. The kitchen in the house needs some attention. As does the barbecue. Love Straddie.

Perfect for a family beach holiday

Old house in pretty good location. Living room not a pleasant place to be. The smell of what we think is urine in the carpet or couches is unbearable. Kitchen drawers and cupboards smelly although the place is fairly clean. Ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms not working, while in the other bedroom the Ceiling fan is old noisy and struggling to work.
I don't think it's a place we would go back to.

A roof over your head and not much else. Had a great time despite all of the beds being quite uncomfortable, ended up sleeping on the loungeroom floor on a foam mattress. Had to fix the fence on arrival so that our dogs could be secured, one part of fencing is falling down and in need of replacement. Close to all things and good enough for the price I guess.

Perfect place for relaxing holiday. The property was ideal for our ageing parents and our loyal fur baby. Location was near for whale watching, fishing, beaches, grocery store, eateries and bars. The property was well equipped probably to many furniture. This was our third year staying at this property. We feel safe, comfortable, the place was always clean and well maintained. Definitely returning next year. Thank you.

Me and my wife stay at kingfisher house with our Dog. Great location. Close of everything that you need if you need anything.Very spacious world accomodate a big Family too. Self contained and fenced. Highly recommend.

Location is perfect. Close to beaches, hiking tracks and shops. House is dated but clean and comfortable. Might return.

Great house in great central location. The owners have done lots of work on it and it shows. Dog friendly back yard, new carpets and a lovely fresh feel through an old house that is just right for a laid back Straddie Holiday.

The property is in a great location, close to beaches and shops. The property does need an update as furnishing are old. Would stay again as it was suitable to bring our dog with good fencing st the back. Also amazing bird life to watch from front veranda.

We loved our stay here, my grandson was competing in the School Surfing Titles, the position was so handy to the beach, where it was held, & very handy to the coastal walks, the shops. The accommodation was comfortable & provided to all our needs. I would be very happy to stay here again.

House is safe, spacious, well equipped and clean. Ideal for our elderly parents and dog. Comfortable stay. The Barbecue needs a bit cleaning. Enjoyed our stay. Will come again during summer if all is well.

This was a very enjoyable and trouble-free holiday. Lovely clean, well-kept house with everything we needed, helpful and thoughtful rental agents. Easy walking distance to beach, pub and shop - a very welcoming place to come back to after a busy day. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay here, place was very clean and comfortable and well equipped. The position was fantastic, close to everything and right across the road from the beach and the shops.
