This property is a holiday rental and is not a principal place of residence with no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.
On the top level is the parents retreat… King size bed with ensuite, wardrobe and a deck, perfect to sit and read a book or watch the whales go by.
On the middle level is the large open plan kitchen that flows through to the living and outdoor deck, the perfect indoor/outdoor balance. There is a BBQ on the deck. On this level there are also two bedrooms with a shared deck, family bathroom and laundry with access to the back yard.
The ground level there is a self-contained granny flat, with a modern kitchen, bathroom and two single beds (these can be pushed together at request to be a King bed.) There are Bi-fold doors and windows which open onto the large swimming pool. There is also an outdoor shower to wash off the sand after a day at the beach.
Each room in this house is air conditioned and the property includes high speed internet and a smart TV with Netflix etc.

* If Wifi is offered it is a complimentary extra. As there is no charge, issues will be dealt with ASAP but cannot be guaranteed.
* To ensure the comfort of guests and the neighbours, we do not accept bookings for ''Schoolies'' breaks/under 21 yrs groups.

We had 8 people staying in the Kahala and everyone had their own space.
The outside balcony was terrific, we spent our time there the most.

Great house for large groups well equipped kitchen although the downstairs separate apartment could do with a kettle and toaster. House could do with a good spring clean as dusty surfaces and sand and chocolate wrappers in the sofa bed, only one person could shower at a time as the water would run cold also just as an fyi the driveway is quite steep and there’s not much of a view from this side of the road. The pool would be great in the warmer months to cool off. All in all good value for a big group of people to share, nice spacious rooms and comfortable beds.

STRADDIE IS THE SAME BUT WITH MORE PAZAZZ - KAHULA WAS PERFERECT FOR OUR STAY, THE KITCHEN HAD EVERYTHING YOU COULD WISH FOR. EVERYTHING WAS SUPER CLEAN AND THE DECOR WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE ESSENCE OF A BEACH HOUSE - WE WOULD COME AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT - THE WEDDING OF OUR DAUGHTER WAS SENSATIONAL - THE WEDDING PLANNER DONNA TURNED THE COMMUNITY HALL INTO A MAGICAL VENUE, MY DAUGHTER LUISA WHO ORGANISED AND PLANNED FOR A YEAR WITH SOME ASSISTANCE FROM ME IN HER INEVITABLE STYLE KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK, LUISA AND RICHARD MET IN SHANGHAI AND HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 12 YEARS WERE JOYOUS - IN A WORD THE COMPLETE PACKAGE THE HOUSE THE SURROUNDS AND OF COURSE STRADDIE IN A WORD "SENSATIONAL" Susie, Luisa and Len Rust

This was our first visit to Straddie and it was a cracker! Just loved the island and definitely planning to return. The holiday was family based we loved the sectionalised bedrooms with one family downstairs near the pool, the second larger family taking the two bedrooms near the living quarters and my husband & I top floor with a birds eye view from our balcony and the ensuite has a great outdoors feel the louver windows open up to a nature reserve at the back of the house, so it was fantastic to watch the kangaroos & birds while sitting on the loo. All the bedrooms had access to private breakout balconies allowing everyone to be able to chill out at will. Very much needed on holiday. There was enough room for the boat and cars. We could have done with better lounge seating (there simply wasn't enough for eight adults to sit comfortably and watch telly- first world problem) It didn't overly bother anyone but it was noticed.

Wonderful, clean and very well equipped substantial house. The master room is a dream with the king size bed, view, air con and ensuite.The pool and air-con through out was perfect on the warmer days.
Simply amazing, clean, luxurious beach house. The owners really have thought of everything you'd want and need, with a fabulous large kitchen in the main area, a bbq on the large deck with and dining table for 10 and a small kitchen downstairs next to the pool. perfect for mixing drinks and serving snacks to the pool area. The beds were the best we've experienced and normally we bring our own pillows and blankets - not required this time, everything was so clean and the consumables were plentiful including things like, hand soap, dishwashing soap, cooking oil which normally aren't supplied. Linen was fresh and in abundance, which made settling in and relaxing so much easier. The views are 10/10 overlooking the bushland to the east and sea views to the north. But the beach shack vibe was on amazing! We are regularly booking vacay stays on Straddie and this is in the top 3 , we highly recommend Kahala and will look to see if we can secure it again. Excellent wifi throughout the house. 2x smart TV's with connected apps to Netflix, Disney, Stan and Youtube so the little ones are well looked after (and the big ones with Stan Sport). Overall 10/10 we could not be happier!
