Blue Poles (Pets Allowed)

We had a great stay, relaxed vibe.

We normally use a caravan at Adder Rock, but this time tried a house. With the rainy weather we were glad to be in a house. We enjoyed the location and the upstairs verandah. Aspects of the house needed maintenance, but overall pleasant. We visited the bowls club several times for barefoot bowls, night activities as it was daggy and in walking distance. Just being on the island is always enjoyable.

The location was perfect as well as the amount of space for 7 people and a dog.
Unfortunately the house was dirty, spiderwebs everywhere and dust.

excellent place for winter escape to straddie with two puppers. so big i only really used upstairs/ great deck / big kitchen /easy walk to beach / huge bath for winter netflixing

Wonderful spacious pet friendly family holiday home with great top level for entertaining. Very close to the beach!! Fantastic views back across Straddie and to the beach.

My friends and i stayed in this house for 7 nights. Great view looking out to Morteon Island and breezes.

Great location and has a lot of potential - large decks, spacious living space, homely amenities. Just needs some love and care - a good clean and a bit of maintanence (a new BBQ plate). Brand new couch was nice (noting review below) and balcony furniture is fantastic. Overall, we absolutely love straddie and enjoyed our stay.

Despite some initial concerns regarding cleanliness of the property, we ended up really enjoying our stay at Blue Poles at Point Lookout. The property is well positioned at the 'beach end' of Tramican Street. Everything worked and there were a couple of nice touches, such as the hot & cold outdoor shower and the provision of some staples to get you started (including salt & pepper - always great to provide!). I'd say the property would benefit from a deep clean once or twice a year to keep on top of the spiderwebs. Also, with all the money paid from renters, it would be so nice to invest in a new couch for the living room. The old one's covers were ripped to shreds! Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay and my family (including our doggie) really enjoyed it. We love Straddie!

I lived the light and privacy . I did not like the dust and mould and stains on linen and spiders by the many. The house is winderful if properly cleaned. I have alkergies and had to clean thick dust and mould from some screens and fans and windows. Also I had to spray many many spiders

Lovely place but it needs a handyman to spend half a day there thinking everything that's busted including shelves in the fridge, the oven, the BBQ, handles on many draws, light switches and lightbulbs

This is a perfect holiday rental for a large family. Each bedroom opens to a large verandah, large enough for small children to play safely. Kitchen is large and fully equipped and the combined lounge and dining room has ample space for everyone.
We had a wonderful holiday here Christmas 2021, and would book again in the future.

Our second time at Blue Poles. Location is excellent - right near Home and Cylinder Beaches. Our labrador had a great time swimming at the beach and enjoying lots of free space to roam. Property is spacious to accommodate a family plus friends. Bring plenty of food if staying for a week or longer as there is limited places to eat since COVID, other than a very busy coffee shop (where people literally que from 7.30 am opening time) and the Hotel.

An excellent place for a large family to spread out and not be on top of each other. Close to everything on offer at Point Lookout Also within walking distance to the beach and a bus stop. Set in a beautiful leafy surrounds and glimpses of the ocean. Worthy of 5 stars if a little more generous with the toilet paper and soap..

Chilled out space . Lots of room, close to beaches and point lookout. Not much in the way of supplies in the house, so be sure to come well stocked up

We had a wonderful stay. The check in and out was extremely easy. The house is located just a short drive from cylinder beach and point look out. We would only recommend a couple extra blankets for winter time.

Nice big house for our large family, great location we walked to the beach. House needs some repairs but nothing major. Loved our stay and was great to have our dog with us. Lovely big decks to enjoy the view.

I stayed at this great house a few weeks ago. It's very cool and has lots of room. Nice and close to Home beach, which my cattle dog absolutely loved! Big, long verandahs with a very nice ocean view (bring binoculars and watch the whales!). I highly recommend this place and wish I had stayed seven nights instead of four :)
