Amazing views, so easy to walk just steps to a cafe or beach, loved the daily Kangaroo visits. Even on the day it rained, it was nice to be able to hang out on the porch and see the ocean. Really easy to access from the ferry, bus from the ferry to the vrbo doorstep practically.

Amazing location to sit back and relax

You can't beat the location of Angabunga! We lost hours sitting on the patio watching whales and ships pass by, easily walked to the Gorge Walk many times and enjoyed the local Gelato on the way back. The property is basic (original condition, no wifi or AC) but it is well maintained and very clean. There is off street parking for 2 cars and the owner is very friendly. We were visited by the local kangaroos daily and we'd love to come back some time.

What a little gem. Our family loved this place. Older style home and furnishings/decor but absolutely immaculate. Had everything we wanted to cook and feel at home. The view was priceless, close to everything you needed and plenty of space for the kids to play. We were also lucky enough to meet the beautiful elderly lady owner who lives upstairs. We can’t wait to come back again x

We loved the views, the close proximity to the Gorge Walk and shops, as well as the well appointed accommodation. We met the owner, who is a very kind, helpful person.

This is a great place to stay few days with family. You can really enjoy the sun rise from the front verendah. Nice ocean view from house.

This spacious ground floor unit was very clean and comfortable for our group of 5, with a well-equipped kitchen. We would definitely choose to stay here again. The location is superb, just across the road from Frenchman’s Beach and the start of the Gorge Walk. A real delight for us was the kangaroos that came morning and evening to graze and sleep on the lawn of the property. We even got to see young males boxing. The property owner lives above the unit and was extremely gracious and accommodating to us.
Great stay

We stayed four nights during the second week of the Easter school holidays. The apartment was spacious, very handy to everything we needed, accessible for my elderly mum. Kangaroos on the front lawn in the evening and wonderful views of the ocean.

AMAZING ANGABUNGA!
Tracey H., Buderim, QLD Australia
We have stayed at Angabunga many times over the last 8 years or so and it has become a real holiday "home" to us. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well appointed but the real draw for us is the magnificent view and close proximity to everything we need. Once we park the car, that's it! (except for a sneaky lunch at the pub!) The team at Ray White make the whole process of booking, checking in and checking out so simple and are super helpful and friendly. Angabunga is nothing fancy but it's simplicity is also it's attraction for us! We'll be back soon.

We love Angabunga and stay every couple of years. It has everything we need and is a clean comfortable home away from home. We walk everywhere .. Hotel .. Grocery Shop .. Cafe .. Seafood Shack .. Gallery & Bookshop .. Icecream .. Gorge Walk .. new decking walk to Frenchman's Beach.
wonderful! Best place to stay on Straddie
Kathryn V., Moffat Beach, QLD Australia
Our family had a perfect 3 night stay in Angabunga last weekend - just gorgeous. The unit fitted us perfectly (once we got the bathroom roster organised), we cooked in the great kitchen and sat on our verandah over the sea watching whales and greeting the visiting kangaroos. I LOVE this place!
Manager's Response
Kathryn, thank you very much for your feedback. Anga Bunga is certainly well presented in an envable position with amazing views convenient to so many attractions Straddie offers. What a bonus to watch whales and greet kangaroos without even leaving home!
We hope you will visit again and can enjoy another wonderful stay.

We stayed at Angabunga 2 nights. The Location is perfect. Situated in Point Lookout, with amazing views of Frenchman's beach and flat Rock. We took the flyer from Cleveland (no need to take the car) bus stop at the door. Easy walking distance to the gorge walk. Where we saw kangaroos, curlews, dolphins, eagles, manta rays, turtles and also a swamp wallaby. Very close to the bakery, cafe, ice cream shops. Fresh fish and prawns at the Prawn Shack around the corner. Position could'nt be better. The property was very clean, plenty of space with a full kitchen. It is an older style, (80's vibe) There is no air-con (but didn't need it in October) There are ceiling fans. It was quiet and relaxing and close to everything we needed. (10 min walk to foodworks) and Cylinder Beach. We will definitely stay again. The price was one of the most reasonable on the island and available for a 2 night stay (many are only available for a minimum of 3) Perfect spot. Spectacular views.

Lovely house to stay in. Only problem was the microwave didn't work properly.
My favorite place for peace and quiet in Queensland
Recent Guest, Runaway Bay, QLD Australia
I've stayed at Angabunga many times over twenty two years. I love the simplicity of the house and the ever changing view of the sea in all its moods. The owner keeps the property in excellent condition, not an easy task in that environment. I would recommend Angabunga to those seeking peace and quiet; space with a view to sit and read; beach and boardwalk walks over the road and those who appreciate an older house and a more common sense approach way of holidaying. The BBQ is perfectly serviceable considering the elements it faces. If you haven't been to Nth Stradbroke and don't expect "state of the art" Angabunga just might be perfect for you. The Amity Point pub is great, the Little Ship Club is worth a visit as is the museum and cemetery. The Bowls Club meals are a bit hit and miss but the ice creams, bread, cakes and pies down the road are excellent.

Fabulous Location
Recent Guest, Joyner, QLD Australia
Whilst overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Angabunga, a few minor tweaks could really improve this property. I am not sure why holiday rentals seem to choose the most uncomfortable couches and this place is no exception. There is only seating for three people as there is a protruding spring on one couch rendering it unusable. We were also disappointed to not have a functioning BBQ despite the listing specifically listing one. Hopefully this has been rectified for future visitors. The location of this property is perfect. The view from the patio is spectacular.
It's right on our doorstep and is the perfect r & r destination.

Angabunga is in the best spot for everything the island has to offer. The owner keeps the house in excellent condition and it is always a pleasure to stay there.

Location perfect, roos rule, what a view!

Angabunga - an older style gem, spacious, well supplied kitchen - plenty of crockery, comfortable furniture, good (but not smart) TV, secure off street parking. All on the flat, only one step at back door. Location is great with stunning views over Lookout Point. Eastern grey kangaroos hopping around the property and quite used to visitors on the Angabunga front lawn. Cafes and health food grocery nearby, plus all the great coastal walks just across the road. We enjoyed Dunwich too - museum fascinating. Things to note: Being older style and relatively low cost: no free wifi (it's available - we used your own plan); no dishwasher; bathroom/toilet is minimalist and shared with laundry; washer and dryer available, but laundry tub could do with an update; no aircon - ceiling fans in bedrooms, but not in lounge (OK in winter, but summer??); and finally the stove controls are hard to figure - couldn't get griller or oven to work, but hotplates were fine. Overall though, good value for money.

We loved our stay at Angabunga... four old friends for a girlie birthday celebration! The apartment was just right for us to spread out, cook a little and relax, but best was the table outside with the fabulous view. I've stayed further away from the shops before and being able to get up and head early down to the gorge so eaily was wonderful! In spite of a little rain, we were able to enjoy the walks as much as we liked. We didn't bring the car (sooo cheap for seniors on the passenger ferry) and didn't need it being so close to everything! Thank you so much to our friendly hosts upstairs and to Ray White for making everything so smooth.
Great Location

The apartment was perfect for us. Our overseas friends loved the view. Collection of keys, linen and checking out was easy. Would only recommend that each room have a fan as it did get a bit hot at night.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay at Angabunga. Everything was exactly how it should be. We will be back, thank you!
Very comfortable

Very comfortable, bit hot at times but we had rain and storms whilst there so that helped with the air flow. Beautiful view and felt no need to leave.
