Welcome to 11 Bambara Street, your perfect beachside getaway in central Point Lookout. Our holiday rental is conveniently located close to shops, beaches, and the Stradbroke Island hotel, making it the perfect base for your island adventures.
Upstairs, the main living area features an open-plan design with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and lounge, which open out onto a spacious deck. There are also 2 bedrooms, a family bathroom, and an ensuite on this level. Downstairs, accessed by external stairs, you'll find a self-contained area with a kitchenette, sitting area, bedroom and bathroom.
Our property features 3 bedrooms with comfortable bedding, including 2 queen beds and 2 singles, as well as 3 bathrooms to ensure your comfort and privacy. Enjoy your favorite shows or movies on the TV and DVD player, or whip up a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen.
Relax and unwind on the deck while you enjoy a delicious BBQ cooked on the gas grill, or simply soak up the sun. Our property is also equipped with screens to keep you comfortable and protected from insects, and a double carport for your convenience.
For your peace of mind, we provide linen and make up the beds prior to your arrival. We also understand that pets are part of the family, which is why we allow up to 2 dogs on the property.

* Pets Allowed-however no more than two (2) dogs on any property.
* If Wifi is offered it is a complimentary extra. As there is no charge, issues will be dealt with ASAP but cannot be guaranteed.
* To ensure the comfort of guests and the neighbours, we do not accept bookings for ''Schoolies'' breaks/under 21 yrs groups.

* Payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by our Terms and Conditions which can be viewed under the Guest Information tab on our website.
* This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.
* This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed.
For your added security, this property is managed by a Licensed Real Estate Agent. We will never request payments be made to an overseas bank account and your money is held safely in our Trust Account until after your departure.

Great short break venue

we had a great weekend at this place. It was a really large house with lots of amenities, great location. A bit warm when we were there so would recommend an extension cord or 2 to make sure the fans reached! Overall would highly recommend.

We were very disappointed with the condition of the house....broken shower, rusty pedestal fans, leaking freezer section of fridge, overgrown lawn., mouldy couch cushions etc Please refer to email from Graham Marsh to Richard dated t Feb 2024.
Great location but needs a clean and refresh of furnishings

House was in a great location and is well designed but on arrival we found the kitchen cupboards were messy and full of dead cockroaches and dirty window and door tracks filled with dirt and dead insects. The place also had spider webs everywhere. Some furniture needs to be replaced. Mouldy seat cushions and bar stools you are unable to use due to inappropriate size. The real estate organised a cleaner promptly for a quick clean. Such a lovely home but just needs a proper clean and some new furniture.
A lovely fortnight amongst the trees

While the property was clean, nearly all the curtains were badly stained from rain coming in, the oven has no temperature shown on the oven dial and the stove top has no marks on the knobs to show which hotplate is which- not that it was too difficult to work out. The gutters are still not mended after my accident there last year. However the house suits us well and we enjoyed staying there and look forward to coming back in 2024
Good location and layout, but very tired

The house has so much potential and with only a little bit of effort, could be fantastic. Good separation of living, with self contained area downstairs. Great sized deck and mid way between cylinder and main - easy walk to beaches and shops etc.
The house is just in desperate need of refreshed soft furnishings - new bedding, wash extra blankets, replace curtains that are mouldy and ripped. Everything felt and smelt dirty.

Lovely spacious house. Plenty of verandah space. Microwave broken. No ceiling fans All pedestal fans broken but quickly replaced Mattresses need to be replaced. Very thin and Metal springs can be felt pushing through on all beds
Disappointing service from real estate agency

We have just returned from a stay at this property. The house is a good holiday home in an excellent location close to shops and the beach. As a family, when we go on holiday one of the things we love to do is catch up on DVDs we haven’t had a chance to watch outside the holiday time, We always check to see if the rental has a DVD player and if not we take our own with the necessary cables etc. When we booked this property it stated that there was a DVD player so obviously we didn’t bring our own! The first night we sat down to relax and watch a DVD to find that the player didn’t work. Next day we reported this to Ray White and were told that they don’t replace these “small appliances”; the owners live interstate and they weren’t aware that it didn’t work. End of story, care factor zero and no follow up. Whose responsibility is it to check these things – the guests? It may seem like a small problem but it was the start of a very wet week when a working DVD would be appreciated. My daughter and I had to take the ferry back to the mainland and buy a new DVD player and cable at Capalaba.All up this exercise cost us about $300 and a day of our holiday. This should not have happened. Last June we had a similar problem in a rental at Moffat Beach and the experience could not have been more different. The lady from the real estate agency came out immediately, contacted repairs and went and bought a new appliance and returned to make sure it worked. If I was an owner that is the type of service I would like my guests to receive. The lack of interest or care from RW left us with a sour taste.

House was clean and presentable and a good layout for a beach holiday. Convenient location to beaches and shops. Neighbors appear to park in garage and use wheelie bins when holiday rental not occupied.
Cooking rang and oven are passed their best-by date. Stove top and oven controls are illegible and stove top elements rusting and falling apart. Sink mixer tap broken and falls off.
I slipped and fell heavily on the wet mossy sleepers under the close line. Gutter above rusted and leaking and keeping surface continually wet. Reported the incident to Ray White on leaving. Little or no care shown our desire to take details. Follow up email to RW principals elicited a more positive response. Advised the slippery surface has been fixed but no evidence provided.
