Tramican Street House

Modern home with beautiful views out to Cylinder and Home Beach. We love North Stradbroke Island as it is a beautiful place to relax and recharge. The house is in a good location and very well maintained. We were very surprised by the amount of street noise at times.

Arriving the place and it had a beautiful view of cylinder beach. But walking around and the floor was filthy. The place felt gross, dust on mould on the couch pillows. Curtains were flithly and all the windows needed a clean.

Girls weekend getaway - well equipped kitchen, shopping nearby, magnificent beach!

As previously stated the cleanliness of stay this time was not of a high standard at all.
Pet hair on all the cushions inside (I had to vacuum them all as I have major allergies.
Pet hair in the top floor.
Maggots in the bin area
Top floors were not cleaned
Towels had dirty marks on them

What a beautiful home. So well equipped with modern appliances and the view is to die for. Loved this home. So nice and clean.

A lovely bright and sunny place with top of the range appliances and very comfortable beds

Whoever built this house clearly had a lot of fun, spent a lot of time, and spent a lot of money getting everything just right. The best materials have been used in every part of the house, which has a very nice layout, big balconies and all mod cons. Well, almost all - as a southerner I found the heat and humidity of early March pretty tough, and air-conditioning would have been awesome, but I don't think that's how they roll up in Queensland. The house is designed with windows everywhere for ventilation, and the main living and sleeping areas are provided with very effective and totally silent ceiling fans. And the house, high on a ridge with views of the beach, does catch the sea-breezes nicely. So, whether it's a traditional Queensland approach to the heat or a conscious decision not to pump more CO2 into the atmosphere, I take my hat off to the no aircon decision. Anyway, it was simply a lovely place to inhabit for a week. One thing though - never having been to Stradbroke Island and not knowing the topography, I was unaware of the grotesquely steep hill that has to be climbed to reach this house. We came without a car, and I think it took about a day for me to recover from dragging my suitcase up there from the bus stop. There are a few options - there's a shuttle-bus (StradEasy.com) that you can book to take you around - it's pretty inexpensive, although you may have to wait a while since it's the only taxi-like vehicle on the island; you can sometimes talk the nice people at the Stradbroke Hotel to give you a lift up the hill in their courtesy bus, which technically runs only on Friday and Saturday nights. We had a thoroughly pleasant time at 69 Tramican Street. And, for what it's worth, a very delightful evening at Kokomo's Beach House, a restaurant a few hundred metres away.

There were no oven trays for cooking and the beds are very uncomfortable

Beautiful place. We come to straddie at least once a year and rent through RayWhite every time. They've always been great.We plan to come back as we have the past 15 years. The only complaint is that the kitchen had a very strong smell of old seafood on arrival and discovered it was coming from the freezer. The smell was intense and made all our ice packs & freezer items stink of old seafood.This was a bit dissappointing.There was also a container of rotten tomatos on the stairs leading to the wgale watching tower outside.

Had an amazing time staying at this beautiful home. We love that much have rebooked for next year. Great location and beautiful views. Won't be disappointed if you book this amazing house.

Is beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Location is great and the property is equipped with just about everything you need. My only suggestion would be to bring some extra towels/ beach towels if you’ll be at the beach and tea towels if you’ll be using the kitchen as there was just enough for each of us to have one towel to shower.

The views from this house are amazing. It’s nice and new and comfortable. We’ll be coming back!

Can’t fault this property. Very comfortable and well kitted out. The view is amazing and the sound of the sea is never far away.
