Nice little 1 bedder right on cylinder beach with a pleasant water view. Needed a good clean when we arrived. And being on the ground floor you cannot do much about the ghost ants everywhere.
Nice modern bathroom with large bathtub. And the kangaroos and curlews visiting everyday is a nice bonus.

The unit was not as clean as previous stays. Mould in bathroom and door frames. The yard definitely needed mowing. Apart from that a fantastic location and we did have a great stay.

Excellent location, great big bath tub and all the comforts at home. Felt settled quickly, had a great relaxing time with lots of wildlife visiting.

Always an outstanding place to stay

This was the perfect place for a solo business retreat. It was secluded and private, providing everything I needed. Beautiful walks and the beach right on the doorstep, with a cosy, peaceful, comfortable, safe place to relax and work in between. Loved my time here and will come back again.

Our new favourite Straddie holiday accommodation! Newly renovated, clean, comfortable, spacious and very well-equipped apartment, minutes walk from the beach and close to everything you need. We plan to return!

Good arrival instructions from the real estate company. I unloaded my bags from the driveway off the cylinder beach car park and then parked in undercover car park behind the apartment. I didn’t really need the car after that. There are lots of stairs up to the road and uneven ground to the lower car park, so only really suitable for those who can walk easily. Beach walks are gorgeous.
You won’t be alone...I had big bob the elderly kangaroo sleep on the front lawn a few nights and a stone curlew walked into the lounge room one night. He stood for ages mesmerised by the tv. The upstairs neighbours use the same path to the beach and will walk past the bedroom window so keep the net curtains closed. :)
The shade sail in the bedroom cupboard is easy to put up and essential against the western sun. The updated kitchen and bathroom were a pleasant surprise. Loved the big bath tub.
The ghost ants were a bit annoying but to be expected when you are on the ground level. They are particularly fond of honey.
Being able to see and hear the sea was so relaxing, and quick to get to the beach. Overall it was a lovely little holiday getaway, close to everything.

Problem the gas bottle was empty and no spare it’s not hard to have a spare as when you want to use the bbq the shop Is closed to get a refill and not the job of the guest to fill

Our second time here and we had the perfect holiday. The apartment is right next to the beach and we spent 8 days swimming, walking , eating and drinking. Recent renovations were great. Only request would be for aircon as we were there during a particularly hot and humid spell of weather! Can't wait to get back!

We had a great time. Position is right at the end of the Cylinder Beach carpark so you walk right out through the carpark and you are on the beach. Close to Point Lookout shops as well. The only thing is the garage for the car is under the units up behind this block so it isn't easily accessible but no drama to work up the stairs to get to it when you need it to get around the island. You can unload your gear by parking in the beach carpark and you could potentially leave your car there if you didn't mind it out the whole time. We loved it and will be back due to location alone. The unit had everything we needed and was tidy and clean. Comfy bed and easy to chill out.

Back again, love this little unit. Surprised on return new kitchen, new lounge area and a new lounge, new floor tiles. Looks lovely and is functional. Always a pleasure t stay here. Book to come back already in February 2022.

Great location. We loved our stay. Perfect spot on cylinder beach. Nice and cozy place. Very well equipped kitchen. We went at the end of March, did not need the aircon but would be ideal for the summer months. One recommendation to the host would be to provide some tea/coffee.

We will be back! Loved the location and the amazing views from this great unit. No need to go out for dinner or coffee as it so easy to wander down to the Sunshine Street Food Van, Straddie Wood Fired Pizza set up or the Coffee on Cylinder cart but if you need to it's an easy walk to the pub and most other places at Point Lookout.

Stunning location, meters from the beach, what a fantastic weekend we had!

This delightful property is generously equipped , was clean and welcoming and is in such a sheltered quiet location with wonderful views - perfect for 2 people

Wonderful property, right on Cylinder Beach and easy walk to the shops and pub etc. Go to sleep listening to the waves. Lovely breezes throughout. Perfect for a couple and will be our go to holiday home on Straddie from now on. The addition of aircon and a BBQ would be my only two requests to push this to 5 stars all round!

The property exceeded my expectations in terms of its outlook, and view. So handy to everything and has a very well equipped kitchen. The patio gets a little hot in the sun but is still a prime spot to stay.

Best place we have stayed on Straddie! Have been ro Straddie for 30+ years and this 1 bedroom apartment was abs fantastic! You can't get any closer to Cylinder Beach, plenty of parking in front if you don't want to use the garage, huge very comfortable king bed with a firm matress (your back will love it!), large living room, large kitchen well stocked with everything you'll need (better wine glasses than what we got at the pub!), dishwasher, huge fridge freezer, fans in loving and bedroom, large windows and glass doors for some of the best views ever (trees don't hide much - still amazing beach views!), massive bathroom and laundry, a cute little bag of bats and balls and beach things, 2 boogey boards, a surf board in the laundry to use, tv's in the lounge and bedroom, a nice outdoor setting with comfee chairs. The location is obviously perfect! Situated on the best beach on Straddie, walked to the beach every day and swam. For couples it was abs perfect. It's the only place we will now stay when we come to Straddie. Loved our time here. Great spot for sunsets, arvo drinks & long days of doing nothing. You won't be disappointed if you book this great apartment! We loved it!Cons - No bbq, no sliding screen door on the lounge room and no air con. You do get a lovely breeze through though. The bedroom sliding door has a very safe lockable screen on it, so you can leave that open all night long.
